Krzysztof Głowacki will undergo laser surgery on Wednesday to repair a damaged retina. The fighter suffered the injury at KSW 104 in Gorzow Wielkopolski.
Krzysztof Glowacki returned to the KSW round cage over the weekend. Unfortunately, the fight of the former world boxing champion did not go as his fans had dreamed. Jordan Nandor led a punch and hooked the Pole’s eye with his thumb. The duel was stopped after the doctor intervened and was declared a no-contest.
Krzysztof Glowacki delivered the bad news on his social media accounts. The popular Head addressed the fans.
– Thank you for the many messages with words of encouragement that you send to me. Today I had a re-examination, unfortunately the hematoma in my eye is large, so tomorrow I am facing another examination. For the moment, I know that due to the damaged retina, I have to have laser surgery on Wednesday. It will be fine. At the earliest in June I return to the cage, pion.
Krzysztof Glowacki has set a potential return date, so it’s easy to calculate that the fighter will enter the cage again at the KSW 107 gala in Ergo Arena at the earliest. The only question is whether the sporting director will find a place for him on the schedule for that event, or whether Glowacki will have to wait a bit and be seconded to compete at a smaller gala in July or August.
