The KSW 118 fight of the evening featured a skirmish for the interim KSW middleweight championship. Piotr Kuberski entered his second defense. This time his opponent was Michal Michalski.

The popular “Qbear” was returning to the round cage after months of turmoil. Fans well remember the KSW perturbations with Albert Formela and Norbert Sawicki in the background, so there is no need to revisit that. All this, however, led to today’s skirmish, which was the second defense of the interim belt for Piotr Kuberski, and in the case of victory – the ultimate golden ticket to a duel with Pawel Pawlak.

Facing “Qbear” today was Michal Michalski. The popular “Sugar” was recording win after win in the middleweight division, but was still only third in line to fight for a full-fledged championship. Although he spoke directly about sports retirement, he pushed those plans aside to try to reach for the KSW belt. Has he succeeded in this art?

KSW 118: Kuberski vs Michalski – who won?

Kuberski started low on his feet and brought out kicks from a distance. Michalski was looking for a typical breakaway, threatening with his right hook. He hit the guard with a hook, pressed “Sugar” with boxing combinations. “Qbear” calmly kicked his rival in the calf, nonchalantly lowered his hands. Michalski charged. Kuberski hit on the counter! He fell to the boards Michalski and did not get back on his feet!

Result: Piotr Kuberski won by TKO in the 1st round.
