KSW chief called Tomasz Narkun on Saturday. The former federation champion did not answer, however, Martin Lewandowski announced that he wanted to contact the fighter.
Rafal Harikat ‘s injury before the KSW 105 gala caused some fans to wonder if Tomasz Narkun would return to KSW for a rematch fight with Ibragim Khuzhigaev. Ultimately, this did not happen and, as a result, the Turkish representative was also taken off the schedule.
However, it turns out that the topic of Narkun’s return in KSW has not fallen through. Martin Lewandowski, head of the federation, talked about it during an interview with Artur Mazur on the Klatka po Klatce program. Lewandowski admitted that he called the Berserkers Team fighter.
– One such character is Narkun, who was doing so well and suddenly it is not clear what is happening with the boy. What’s more I called on Saturday as promised, he didn’t answer the phone, so I kind of will try. You know maybe he is on vacation or didn’t feel like talking.
Asked what happened and where the fighter who defeated Mamed Khalidov twice disappeared, the KSW federation chief could not answer the question. Lewandowski, however, indicated that he wants to find out what expectations Narkun has.
– I am unable to give a reasonable answer to this question. I just wanted to talk directly with Tom and hear from him. What I don’t know could irritate him, hurt him, what was not met. What criteria would have to be met. In general, what idea does he have of himself. As a fighter who you know actually had the door to KSW wide open and to other organizations if he thought so, and we know he thought.
Without a doubt, Tomasz Narkun’s return would strengthen the competition in the up to 93 kilogram category. Giraffe, as a former champion, would have some interesting fights to fight against fighters who have not previously fought in KSW.
