KSW chief on negotiations with Robert Ruchala: “I can’t imagine a different scenario”

KSW boss spoke about negotiations with Robert Ruchala interim featherweight champion. Martin Lewandowski noted that the young fighter is exceptional.

Robert Ruchala has fulfilled his contract with KSW. Negotiations are underway for a new contract with the fighter, who holds the interim featherweight division belt. Joanna Jedrzejczyk, former UFC strawweight champion, is holding talks with KSW on behalf of the talented Ruchala.

Martin Lewandowski was the guest of Patryk Prokulski in the TVP Sport studio. The KSW chief admitted that Europe’s top MMA organization is waiting for a response from Asa Jedrzejczyk. The former fighter, who currently works as a manager, has until Wednesday to send a counteroffer to Wojslaw Rysiewski, KSW’s sports director.

– This week, specifically on Wednesday. We are waiting for the counteroffer. Indeed, there is Wojek there after arrangements with Joanna Jedrzejczyk, of course (earlier) he arranged these things with me. Well, but he is on the front line. We are waiting for information until Wednesday. I hope they will come back with some information and we will refer to it, we will see if there is a common point there to continue. For me, I will say frankly that I can’t imagine any other scenario, I would very much like Robert to stay with us for much longer, of course.

Martin Lewandowski admitted that Robert Ruchała is extremely media-savvy and has a knack for social media. The KSW chief confirmed that retaining the fighter from Nowy Sacz is important, as he is one of the more valuable talents in the federation.

– It’s true, he’s unique in this subject that’s why as I say it’s important to me or priority I don’t know. In the sense I would have to think you know whether to define it exactly with this word, but indeed he is one of the more valuable KSW fighters.
