KSW owner comments on difficult negotiations with Pudzianowski

KSW owner commented on the difficult contract negotiations with Mariusz Pudzianowski. The popular Pudzian will fight Eddie Hall at KSW 105.

Yesterday, KSW federation announced a duel between Mariusz Pudzianowski and Eddie Hall. This fight is scheduled to take place on April 26 in Gliwice, and the clash was contracted in the super heavyweight category. As it turns out, however, it was not colorful at all, and Pudzian might not appear at KSW 105 at all.

The KSW Federation had obviously been building the gala’s schedule with Pudzianowski in mind for many weeks, and did not want to lead to a repeat of the situation from before KSW 100 when Mariusz withdrew from the anniversary event.

KSW chief comments on negotiations with Pudzianowski

Martin Lewandowski commented extensively on the whole situation during an interview with Artur Mazur on the Klatka po klatka program. The KSW chief admitted that it cost him a lot of nerves.

– I don’t know if a greater number of gray hairs arrived for me, but it was not a cheerful moment… The fact that players change employers is nothing new. It’s just that everything that was going on around this story with Mariusz completely didn’t suit me. It was inconsistent with what we had previously agreed on. I was also obliged to Eddie Hall about certain “games”. Everything was getting complicated. Our strategic partner also made big eyes at one point: “why?”

Martin Lewandowski referred to the past and how last year freak organizations tried to “capture” Mamed Khalidov‘s contract.

– It was obviously a stressful moment. Sad, personal for me. The last time I experienced it like this was exactly about a year ago, similar emotions were with Mamed, how there were these kinds of stories, attempts to hoover.

Asked about how long Mariusz Pudzianowski is committed to KSW, the federation’s co-owner surprised and admitted that soon after KSW 105 Pudzian will be a free fighter.

– Only this fight. Only this fight on April 26, the contract will last another week after the gala. After that Mariusz will be a freelancer. It may be so, so I heard. I accept any solution.

Martin Lewandowski is not a fan of the idea of Pudzian performing in FAME. The KSW boss claims that Mariusz has little to gain with such a move.

– I think it will be hard. I think it will be hard, I think… also the question: what formula? With whom? But it’s unlikely Marius will come out dry from this, so the question is what he will really gain.
