According to Wojslaw Rysiewski, KSW champions would be better in the cage than Oktagon MMA champions. The KSW sports director is confident in the victories of his fighters.
In recent weeks, leading representatives of the KSW and Oktagon MMA organizations have frequently exchanged opinions via the media. When asked about Oktagon MMA’s attendance record, Wojslaw Rysiewski said not to put him in a position where he might have a different opinion from KSW bosses.
Now, however, the KSW sports director, in an interview with Filip Błachut, appropriately compared the level of KSW champions and Oktagon MMA champions. Rysiewski is confident in the good performance of his fighters, and in naming the next KSW championship belt holders, he placed them higher than the Oktagon MMA champions time and time again.
– I think I would be surprised if we lost any of them. Vemola repeatedly failed to take the fight with Haratyk, you can ask Rafal. Pawlak would have handled Kerim Engizek. In 77 kg Ion Surdu is a top fighter. It seems to me that he should not have good memories, at least of sparring with Bartosinski. In lightweight and featherweight Parnasse would also do well. We would lose in the flyweight category for sure, because we would not field a representative.
Rysiewski revealed that Karlos Vemola refused to fight Rafal Haratyk, and added that Pawel Pawlakwould defeat Kerim Engizek, the newly crowned Oktagon MMA middleweight champion. The Czech-Slovak organization does not have a champion in the up to 77 kilogram category, and one of the top fighters is Ion Surdu, who, to put it lightly, has not “conquered” KSW before.
Wojslaw Rysiewski also has no doubt that Salahdine Parnasse would leave Ronald Paradeiser and Losene Keita in a defeated battle. By way of trivia, it is worth mentioning that Paradeiser will be defending his lightweight category belt precisely against Keita, the featherweight division champion, who successfully made it through all rounds of the tournament. Thus, there are chances that Oktagon MMA, like KSW, will have a double champion in the featherweight and lightweight divisions.
