Piotr Kuberski is eagerly awaiting his showdown with Paweł Pawlak. “Qbear” makes no secret of the fact that the prospect of a middleweight title unification bout is really getting him fired up, and the fight itself promises to be one of the most important events of the year’s final months in KSW.

The long-awaited fight for the undisputed middleweight title will take place later this year. After many months of discussion and anticipation, we’ll finally find out who truly rules the division. On one side will be the remarkably mature Paweł Pawlak, who has victories over legends such as Mamed Khalidov and Michał Materla under his belt. On the other side will be the red-hot Piotr Kuberski, who regularly finishes his opponents before the final bell.

This matchup has long thrilled fans, in part because of the contrast in their fighting styles. Pawlak is excellent at controlling the pace of a fight and has vast experience at the championship level. “Qbear,” on the other hand, is known for his powerful striking and doesn’t need many opportunities to finish a fight.

Kuberski can’t wait to face Pawlak. “I’m really looking forward to this fight.”

Kuberski, the interim middleweight champion, appeared on the Oktagon Live show, where he spoke at length about his feelings leading up to his bout with “Plastinho.”

“I can’t wait. Just talking about it makes my hands all sweaty and shaky. I’m really glad there’s so much interest,” Kuberski said in an interview with Kanał Sportowy.

The fighter himself isn’t surprised by the interest in the match. Kuberski expects a full arena and is convinced that both champions will deliver exactly the kind of excitement fans expect from a fight of this caliber.

– The arena is sure to be packed, and we’ll give it our all in MMA—that electric atmosphere. I can confidently say that I’ll deliver it, because this fight is right up my alley.

Although “Qbear” has gotten fans used to spectacular finishes in his recent bouts, he isn’t counting solely on a quick finish against Pawlak. He knows he’ll be facing a fighter who is well-versed in the realities of five-round battles.

– Anything can happen in this fight. We could go the full 25 minutes, but it could also end early. I always approach every fight with the mindset that I want to fight for 25 minutes. Right now, I’ve been finishing my fights early, but against Paweł, I definitely won’t be aiming for an early finish, because this guy cut his teeth on championship rounds.

Kuberski even expects that one of Pawlak’s goals will be to drag the match out into its later stages and see how “Qbear” performs in the fourth and fifth rounds.

“So he’ll definitely try to lure me into those deeper waters—that is, the fourth and fifth rounds,” added “Qbear.”

Everything seems to indicate, then, that fans will get to see a clash not only between two champions, but also between two completely different fighting philosophies. Kuberski will look to capitalize on his strength and offensive style, while Pawlak will try to impose his experience and the pace of championship-caliber rounds. In the end, there will be only one middleweight champion left.
