Lerone Murphy laughed at Aljamain Sterling’s recent performance, the former UFC champion was not indebted and countered the featherweight division’s top contender.
This past weekend Diego Lopes defeated Jean Silva, which led supporters of the impressive fighter to demand that the fighter once again be given a chance to fight for the UFC championship belt. Lopes’ attitude did not escape Alexander Volkanovski, who listed Lopes among four possible contenders.
The champion also pointed out that the others are players such as Lerone Murphy and Aljamain Sterling. This made the Englishman active on social media while mocking the American’s recent results. As it soon turned out, the former champion of the cockweight division was not indebted to him.
Lerone Murphy posted a post on the X platform in which he wrote.
– How is Aljo even mentioned among the contenders. I’m embarrassed. The countryman has scored a 2-2 balance in his last four fights. He was a good rooster, but he’s a mediocre featherweight. Only one name makes sense and that name is LERONE MURPHY.
Aljamain Sterling responded to the Englishman’s post with the following words.
– You beat the guy from Bellator brother, you ran around Emmett and you only have two finishes in the UFC. I’ve defended the belt three times, beaten the contenders twice, have almost three times as many UFC victories as you. Brother I am another, my name makes sense and I can show you a miracle.
In the coming weeks, matters will likely be discussed in the UFC organization’s office where matchmakers and Dana White will identify a suitable contender.
