Maciej Kawulski claims that traditional television does not generate viewership. The KSW chief has commented on Mamed Khalidov’s replacement.
Maciej Kawulski gave an extensive interview to Interia.pl in recent days. During the conversation, the head of the KSW federation made it clear that standard television no longer attracts as many viewers as it did years ago. According to the KSW boss, there is no longer a chance for ten million people in Poland to watch the same program at one time.
– Televisions no longer generate such viewership. Audiences are divided among a myriad of entertainment branches. No item in screen prime time reaches ten million.
Maciej Kawulski was asked about the future of KSW after Mamed Khalidov ends his career. The head of the KSW organization spoke in kind words about Mamed and noted that it will be difficult to match him. Nevertheless, Kawulski believes that in the future there will be someone who can become an equally important figure in Polish MMA.
– Showbiz abhors emptiness, just like nature. Everyone is replaceable within the twin patterns of entertainment. Khalidov captivated the crowds because he was a titan of work. Believe me, after he retires, there will be another titan of work, whom people will love precisely for this honesty in the training rooms.
– Mamed had and continues to have an electricity in him, which indeed may not happen for a long time. I dare say that when someone equally hot appears on the horizon, he won’t be portrayed as the second Khalidov. But he will also be a character.
