Maciej Kawulski wants Szymon Kolecki to return to KSW. The sporting director revealed that his boss had ordered him to meet with trainer Miroslaw Okninski regarding the Olympian’s engagement.

Szymon Kolecki represented the KSW federation from 2019-2021, during which time Kolecki fought four winning fights for KSW. The Olympic gold medalist defeated Mariusz Pudzianowski, Damian Janikowski, Martin Zawada and Akop Szostak, respectively.

Unfortunately, Kolecki later suffered a severe injury, after which he had to undergo two surgeries, and his break from competing lasted, as long as 3.5 years. Szymon returned to fighting in December 2024 and has since scored four starts, in which he recorded three wins and one loss.

The Wilanów Academy of Martial Arts fighter got a rematch with Marcin Lazarus for his defeat, which makes his performance even more impressive. Despite 44 years on his neck, Kolecki in MMA is not shredded and can really take on a lot which is undoubtedly a huge advantage.

Wojslaw Rysiewski, in an interview with Artur Mazur on ‘Klatka po Klatka’, revealed what task his boss has given him for the new week. It turns out that Maciej Kawulski wants Szymon Kolecki to return to KSW.

– My boss said today, I don’t think I’ll give away a big secret, that it’s necessary to meet with trainer Mirek Okninski regarding Szymon Kolecki. This is the task Maciek Kawulski gave me for the coming week.

Szymon Kolecki has so far fought fifteen professional MMA fights, thirteen of which he has won. Kolecki has repeatedly impressed with victories by spectacular knockouts, of which he collected a total of as many as 10. It is also worth noting that Szymon has never lost a fight by submission.
