Maciej Różański and his training staff decided to lodge a protest after losing on points to Bartosz Leśko at KSW 104.
KSW 104 gala took place in Gorzow Wielkopolski this past weekend, with Maciej Rozanski and Bartosz Lesko facing off in the KSW round cage. The duel lasted the full distance and ended with a unanimous judges’ decision in favor of Lesko.
The fans gathered in the arena welcomed the verdict with stars and booing, and there were also a lot of unfavorable comments about it online. Berserkers Team coaches and Maciej Różanski, who felt he had won the fight, were also unhappy.
Maciej Różanski announced that he is filing a protest with KSW after losing on points.
– In the cold… I wanted to thank and congratulate Bartosz Leska for a good fight. We both gave our best, did our job, and the judges’ decision was what it was… I feel I won and together with the staff we do not agree with this verdict… Also there will be a protest filed. I do it for my conscience and knowledge for the future, I want to know exactly how to fight in KSW to win rounds.
Maciej Różanski is a veteran of Polish MMA, who has fought in the ACA and Bellator organizations. The popular Spartan has so far fought two fights in the KSW cage. Currently his balance is 1-1, and whether it will change will depend on how the protest is resolved.
