Maciej Różanski will replace the injured Rafal Kijańczuk in a bout with Vojtec Garba at KSW 99 in Ostrava.
The KSW 99 gala in Ostrava will feature a strong welterweight clash, in which Maciej Różanski (14-5, 2 KOs, 9 Sub), a great grappler with a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, will face Vojtech Garba (8-5, 6 KOs). The confrontation will take place already on October 19 at the Ostravar Aréna hall. Rafal Kijańczuk, who was originally scheduled to face the Czech, dropped out of the bout due to injury.
Maciej Różanski has nineteen professional fights under his belt, fourteen of which he won. The representative of the Berserkers Team club eleven times finished his rivals before time, as many as nine times by submission. The fighter from Stargard holds the championship belt of the EFM Show organization, and has also gained experience fighting for such brands as Bellator, Babylon MMA, FEN and ACB.
Różanski has competed not only in Poland, but also in the USA, England, Ireland, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Belarus and Slovakia. Marcin is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a multiple medalist in Poland’s most important grappling competitions. For Różanski, the fight at the Czech Republic gala will be his KSW debut.
Vojtech Garba has thirteen fights to his credit, eight of which he won. Six times he won by knockout, and three times he did it already in the first round. The Czech last fought in October last year. He made his KSW debut then and had to acknowledge the superiority of Michal Dreczkowski. Garba has been competing in professional MMA since 2016, with a victory over Goran Reljic, a former KSW champion, among others. Vojtech has so far competed mainly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but has also fought in Finland and Hungary.
