Maciej Turski criticizes KSW: “Every gala looks the same”

Maciej Turski former KSW gala commentator decided to openly criticize the organization. Turski stated that all galas look the same and are promoted equally.

Maciej Turski was dismissed from his position as a commentator for KSW federation galas in the fall. The organization reported at the time that it did not want in its ranks people who identify with freaks and work at such events.

Now on the Octagon Live program aired on the Sports Channel, the popular commentator strongly criticized KSW. Maciej Turski pointed out that KSW promotes all events equally so to speak, lumping them together.

– Around the 12th galas will not be so peasant, when there were four or five it is known that it was. Under Polsat it was like that, and now it has changed. When will it reach you? Well, it reached us a long time ago, only by such a calendar and lumping all the galas together, it’s hard to distinguish the better ones from the worse ones.

Maciej Turski went back to the past and mentioned that he suggested dividing events into better and worse on the basis of dividing them into smaller fight night galas and big, boisterous events.

– Because each looks copy-paste the same. I don’t see any difference which galas are promoted more, which less. They are all promoted in the same way. I, already once, when this calendar of twelve galas was created, I said that for me it would be better to divide on paper these galas into better and worse quality. On the principle that we do Fight Nights and Premium events.

The commentator indicated a clear plan for how it should all work. Maciej Turski stressed that with KSW’s current layout, it will be difficult to get more fans interested in its events.

– We divide galas into better events and those where we build young fighters, for example. And then you bet on quality in the individual events, and some you assume in advance will be inferior, but you are compensated then by the stronger events. It’s impossible to do twelve galas with such a poorly saturated market, in terms of fan interest that will get everyone’s attention.

Maciej Turski also drew attention to the fact that organizing galas abroad is, in a way, cheating the Polish market. According to the commentator, everything is nice and pretty in France, while fans in Poland are not at all interested in these events.

– Foreign markets are cheating the Polish market. Because cool, France great, in France records, sales, but in Poland no one is watching it.
