Madars Fleminas spoke ahead of KSW 100. The Latvian admitted that no one wants to fight Igor Michaliszyn however he wants to beat the Pole and then fight for the belt.
Madars Fleminas and Igor Michaliszyn will meet in the KSW federation’s round cage on November 16 at the KSW 100 anniversary gala in Gliwice. The duel has been contracted in the welterweight category limit. The result of this clash will have a great significance for the balance of power in the ranking of the up to 77 kilograms division.
The Latvian, who has successfully competed in Cage Warriors in the past, is well aware that he is always an underdog when fighting in Poland. However, this does not bother Fleminas, as he is focused on himself and achieving his goal.
– When they announce my fights, I am always the underdog, because Poles support Polish fighters. This is normal. I already proved them wrong once. On November 16 I return to do it a second time.
Madars Fleminas stressed that Igor Michaliszyn is a good fighter, so it’s hard to find rivals who will take a fight with the Pole. The Latvian knows that a skirmish with the former contender could turn out to be his ticket to fighting for the KSW championship belt.
– Igor is a very good fighter. Nobody wants to fight him, and I’m willing to take up the gauntlet. I am ready for tough fights and I want to prove that I am one of the best in Europe. If I win against Igor, I should get a fight for the belt.
