Magomed Ankalaev announced that he will be doing Chicago Bulls style dunking and revealed the month in which he will defend his UFC light heavyweight division belt.
Magomed Ankalaev won the championship belt of the up to 93 kilogram category last month. The Dagestanian announced from the very beginning that he would like to make a quick defense of the trophy. Ankalaev was also open to an immediate rematch with Alex Pereira.
Magomed Ankalaev posted two entries on the X platform today. The new UFC champion first asked fans if they liked deep dish pizza, which is known as Chicago style pizza in many countries. This, of course, revealed the city in which the Dagestani wants to enter the octagon.
Ankalaev added another entry.
– I broke a lot of hearts last month, and in August Big Ank will be doing Chicago Bulls-style dunks.
Last week, Ankalaev approached Alex Pereira, suggesting that the Brazilian was dragging his feet on signing a contract for a second bout.
– I have a feeling that you don’t want this rematch at all after I accepted the August date.
The case is therefore clear Magomed Ankalaev wants to fight in August in Chicago. We will probably find out soon whether Alex Pereira will manage to heal so quickly or whether the Dagestanian will have to fight a duel with another opponent.
