Magomed Ankalaev reacted sharply to the announcement of his fight with Alex Pereira at UFC 313, with the Dagestanian claiming that his rival had signed a death certificate.
Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira will meet in the fight of the evening at UFC 313 in Las Vegas. The months-long saga during which many insisted that Ankalaev is the number one contender will finally come to an end on March 8. That is, of course, unless either fighter suffers an injury while preparing to fight for the UFC welterweight championship belt.
Magomed Ankalaev reacted swiftly to the announcement of his fight with Alex Pereira at UFC 313. The Dagestani posted a brief but biting post on his social media profiles. Ankalaev addressed Poatan with the words.
– You just signed your death certificate. I’ll punish you for avoiding fighting me earlier and make you look like a guy working in a tire store, not a professional MMA fighter.
Alex Pereira has been the champion of the welterweight category since November 2023. The excellent Brazilian kickboxer has successfully defended his title three times so far. Poatan currently has a series of five wins in a row. Pereira has finished his last four fights by knockouts.
Magomed Ankalaev will again face the chance to win the UFC championship belt. The Dagestanian holds a perfect streak of twelve fights without defeat. Both fighters have in common the fact that in their last fights they had the most problems with Jan Blachowicz. Pereira defeated the Pole after a non-unanimous decision, while Ankalaev tied Janek.
