Mamed Khalidov commented on his fight with Adrian Bartosinski, we know if it was the last fight of the former champion’s career. KSW legend on the future.
Mamed Khalidov scored his last performance in mid-November when he effectively submitted Adrian Bartosinski at the KSW 100 anniversary gala. The former KSW middleweight champion was scheduled to fight Pawel Pawlak at that gala, but Pawel Pawlak suffered an injury that ruled him out of the competition.
After the fight, Mamed suggested that he felt fulfilled and that perhaps this was the best time for him to end his beautiful adventure in professional MMA. Khalidov indicated that he was anxious to steal a zero from his rival’s record.
– I have to think about whether I want to continue this. Today I can confidently say that I am a fulfilled man. It seems to me that there is no better time to end my career and put a symbolic period. I was very anxious to face the best opponent in this fight. An undefeated one. And just such an opponent was appointed to me. I went into the duel with full determination to win and deprive him of that “zero” in his record.
Mamed, however, could not say whether it was definitely his last fight of his career. Khalidov suggested that he might even have two more fights in KSW.
– I don’t know if this was my last fight. If I feel the inner call and desire to compete again, perhaps I will fight one or two more fights.
In recent days, Mamed posted on his Instagram a video of his fight with Adrian Bartosinski, laced with the song Eto Kavkaz, which accompanies Khalidov during his exits to the cage. The legendary KSW federation fighter addressed the fans.
– It is thanks to you that I continue to want to.
Mamed’s words may suggest that he felt the desire to return to the KSW round cage and did not hang up his gloves. It is known that the organization is planning events in large halls in Gliwice and Tri-City, and perhaps the Arrachion Olsztyn fighter would like to fight a duel at one of the mentioned galas.
