KSW’s sporting director has announced the name of the fighter who will be the reserve in the championship fight Parnasse vs Varela at KSW 101 in Paris.
On December 20, the next KSW federation gala will take place in France. The KSW 101 fight of the evening will feature Salahdine Parnasse and Wilson Varela. KSW’s sporting director decided to secure the fight card in case one of the two Frenchmen falls off the schedule due to injury or health problems as a result of making weight.
In recent days it was announced that Marcin Held will fight at KSW 101 in Paris. The experienced Pole will face French veteran Davy Gallon. According to preliminary information, the Held vs Gallon duel is to be the co-main event of the event.
Wojslaw Rysiewski, KSW’s sports director, was a guest on the Octagon Live program. During the conversation Rysiewski announced that Marcin Held will be a reserve in the championship bout. The Bastion Tychy and ANKOS MMA fighter will therefore be preparing for this gala in a dual role, so to speak.
– I decided that it would be good for Marcin, a fighter of this class, to be on the schedule for the Paris gala. And I agreed with him that he would be at the same time the first reserve for the main event, as if something happened. And in order for Marcin’s fight to make some sense to the local audience, we were looking for some rival from France.
