Marcin Tybura fulfilled his contract with the UFC organization with his victory over Mick Parkin. The Pole commented on his current situation.
Marcin Tybura is one of the most experienced active heavyweights in the UFC organization. For many years, the Pole has been fighting both top fighters and opponents who want to break into the top of the royal division.
At the UFC gala in London, the Pole stopped undefeated Mick Parkin. Marcin Tybura took advantage of his experience, although it must be admitted that in the second round the ANKOS MMA fighter was in a bind after the Englishman took advantage of his slip and attacked with powerful ground and pound punches.
After winning the London gala, the Pole commented on his situation. Marcin Tybura fulfilled his contract with the UFC organization with this fight. What future awaits the veteran? “Tybur” told a bit during an interview with a Polsat Sport reporter.
– There were some mistakes, of course, but this stand-up is not out of the blue my base discipline, so… I was successful that much. The whole tactical plan to stand in the canaan was laid out by Michal Andryszak, and whenever I was in the canaan, I caused more danger. Sometimes I would switch a bit to get back to my position and then I would get it. But all the time there I could hear from the corner, as far as the steam was coming from their mouths, that I should switch to the mancunian, so I obeyed reasonably.
Marcin Tybura was ranked eighth in the heavyweight category before the fight in London. However, our fighter focused on his contract. The Uniejów-born fighter will be celebrating his 40th birthday this year, but still hopes the UFC will offer him a new contract.
– I’m hoping to sign a new contract, because I’ve run out. It is known that contracts are signed for how many fights and just this one was my last in this contract, well, but you never know. I’m not so proud to say that they have to extend with me right away, but I have two undefeated prospects on the roster now. Although, on the other hand, it may not exactly be a good policy for the UFC as they look for new heavyweights.
