Marcin Tybura has signed a new contract with the UFC organization. According to reports, the Pole will face a rematch after ten years.
Marcin Tybura has two wins in a row. The experienced fighter from Uniejów will celebrate his 40th birthday this year. Age does not at all prevent Tybura from stopping decidedly younger rivals in the octagon. This earned him a new contract with the UFC.
The Pole recently moved up to seventh in the UFC rankings, from which he briefly dropped to eighth after Waldo Cortes-Acosta ‘s win over Serghei Spivac, to whom the Pole had previously lost. Marcin will return to the seventh position any day now, as all fighters will move up a position after Jon Jones ended his career.
Polsat Sport journalist Pawel Wyrobek has reported that Marcin Tybura will fight another fight at September’s UFC gala in Paris. According to Wyrobek, the ANKOS MMA fighter’s opponent will be Ante Delija. This means that the Pole will face a rematch after ten years.
After all, Tybura fought the Croatian in September 2015 at M-1 Challenge 61 and defended his heavyweight division championship belt then. Ante Delija broke his tibia bone then after delivering a low kick. You can see the first Tybura vs Delija clash here.
