Marcin Tybura recorded a rise of two positions in the ranking of the heavyweight division. The Pole moved up to eighth place thanks to Derrick Lewis’ loss to Cortes-Acosta.
Marcin Tybura fought his last fight in the UFC in early September 2025 when he lost by knockout to Ante Delija. There was positive news for the Pole after the UFC organization’s latest ranking update.
It turns out that even without a fight you can make a respectable promotion among the top heavyweights in the world, and that’s exactly what Tybura managed to do. The fighter of ANKOS MMA and Aligatores clubs scored a surprising promotion of two positions. This means that the Pole is once again ranked eighth in the rankings.
All thanks to the loss of Derrick Lewis, who had to recognize the superiority of Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC 324. The American was not the only fighter whom Tybur “jumped” in the rankings. It is worth noting that Tybur also overtook Ante Delija, to whom he lost by knockout in his last appearance.
Marcin Tybura will return to competition in late March at the UFC gala in Seattle. The experienced Pole will face Valter Walker, unleashed with a series of four wins by submission.
