Marian Ziolkowski analyzed the rematch of the De Fries vs Stosić fight that will take place at KSW 100. The former KSW champion believes that the Serb has made great progress.
Phil De Fries and Darko Stosić will face each other on November 16 in a rematch fight at KSW 100 in Gliwice. The KSW heavyweight championship belt will be at stake in the clash. The De Fries vs Stosić 2 duel will be the second KSW 100 fight of the evening.
Marian Ziolkowski, former KSW light heavyweight champion, commented on the rematch bout of De Fries vs Stosić on the MMA Studio program. Ziolkowski believes that Darko Stosić has made solid progress since his first bout with the Englishman.
– I feel that Stosić has made a lot of progress since the first fight, and with De Fries over the last few fights I haven’t seen that something has changed, that he has added something, that he has become at least a little bit better fighter. He keeps building on what he’s good at, and Stosić has become a better guy, and because of that I at least hope that this fight will look different.
Ziolkowski believes that the Serb’s chances cannot be crossed out, as he has in his arsenal the attributes needed to send the champion to the boards and consequently take the world title.
– I wouldn’t condemn Stosic to total defeat at all, because MMA has taught me over the years that you never know who will take away the champion’s belt. It could even be a guy we would not expect at all, and Stosic has the arguments, before all his paws, to be able to throw the claim that he can take the belt away from De Fries.
