Marian Ziolkowski is outraged by the ban imposed by the French MMA association on participants in the KSW 106 gala in Lyon. Fighters will not be allowed to have tattoos with advertisements.

The situation was reported by Artur Ostaszewski founder and general manager of the Shocker MMA Solutions group, who gave a sarcastic thank you to the French MMA Association on the X platform. It was Ostaszewski who revealed that KSW 106 participants were blocked from having tattoos with sponsor advertisements on their bodies.

Marian Ziolkowski reacted nervously to the whole situation. The former KSW champion is outraged by such a decision by the French MMA association. Ziolkowski talked about it on the program Klatka po Klatka.

– This is a drama of some kind. What is this anyway! This, really, is an action… It makes me slightly nervous. Let me tell you, it’s annoying to me. France, these actions of theirs, I associate with such a political doctrine, which assumes that everyone is to be equal. Even though one may have talent, another may not, one may be hardworking, another may not, but everyone must be equal. Yet someone must rule.

Host Artur Mazur asked Ziolkowski directly how much money he would lose from not being able to take advantage of sponsor ads. Golden Boy not only gave his own example, but also mentioned another fighter who allegedly earns twice as much as his fight payout from such ads.

– I don’t want to throw you know, a specific amount like that, because immediately someone would see what kind of tattoos I had and would count more or less. I don’t want to throw like that. But it will be in the tens of thousands of zlotys, but also not without exaggeration.

– I wasn’t the guy who was out of the blue making money from these hennas. I’m maybe not going to say [the name] of the guy, because he’s going to be at this gala, and I don’t want to puff, but he told me that he gets more out of these tattoos than he does out of his fight fee. Do you understand? From what I remember correctly, it’s twice as much. For a guy like that, he’s screwed.

Marian Ziolkowski suggested that this is probably a temporary fix, and probably in the near future tattoos with sponsor ads will be reinstated, although the players will have to give a percentage to the association.

– I associate it with the psychological effect, Overton’s window. You associate? They will specially block it now in order to restore it in some time, only with a percentage. We will rejoice: “OK, at least they restored it!”, and they will make money for themselves with this twisted way.
