Mariusz Pudzianowski before his fight at KSW 105 recalled his beginnings in MMA. The former world strongman champion admitted that in the initial phase of the fight he was like a machine.
Mariusz Pudzianowski is preparing to return to the KSW round cage. The 48-year-old Pole was scheduled to appear at the KSW 100 anniversary gala, but withdrew from the event at the time. In the end, Pudzianowski’s return was postponed by six months and he will appear at KSW 105.
Mariusz Pudzianowski addressed his fight with Eddie Hall, which will take place already on April 26. The popular Pudzian recalled his beginnings in MMA, referring to what he expects from Eddie Hall.
– Certainly for the first two minutes will be very dangerous. Stop such a steamroller. I remember myself from my early days in MMA. When I entered the fight, for two minutes I was an unstoppable machine, and after two minutes it was just a tiny mosquito that can be snapped. With him, youth will prevail, with me – experience.
– We will test ourselves in martial arts and see how he will do in this. Although it may not be bad, because he is a young guy. I think he’s 36, and I’m 48, but he weighs 150 kilos, and it won’t be straightforward to oxygenate that.
Mariusz Pudzianowski stressed that he has already faced other MMA fighters with Strongman roots in the past.
– I have already skirmished with several strongmen. There was Oli Thompson, who was in my elimination group several times at the world championships. Later there was Tyberiusz Kowalczyk, who was in the top 5 in Poland and felt what it means to be crazy Mariusz. We will see how it will be with Eddie. The boy trained a lot of years to become a one-time world champion. I managed to do it five times, and with eight or nine times I stood on the podium.
