Martin Lewandowski spoke on a number of interesting topics ahead of the KSW 100 gala, one of which was PPV sales for Saturday’s event.
The big KSW 100 gala will take place in Gliwice on Saturday, November 16, and will be an anniversary event, including three championship fights. The gala’s fight card, of course, could not miss Mamed Khalidov, a KSW living legend.
Jaru met with Martin Lewandowski before the KSW 100 gala, and during the long conversation there were plenty of questions about Saturday’s event. At one point, Jarek asked the KSW owner how PPV sales were going.
– KSW 100 PPV sales are going as well as EPIC. Almost, it’s not much different. Also, there will either be a record or a comparable result.
– Really I, for a long time now, have stopped making such a spiral for myself that we have to break some records, prove something to someone. I think we don’t have to prove anything to anyone anymore. I don’t even want to, either someone is on our side, understands that we’ve been running this business for 20 years in accordance with moral business principles, or someone has a blast on us. I can no longer convince such a person with any arguments, so such actions that I have to do something are long behind me.
Martin also commented on ticket sales for KSW 100 and the development of the KSW federation.
– We have a series of twelve galas a year, we are in three markets. We have the best TV deal that has been signed, so there are prospects for growth rather than going out of business. We report that the halls are sold out when there are 15 vacant seats left, some single “swallows.” Not many organizers do that. I’ll be honest, at KSW 100 we didn’t announce it, but when there was a month to the gala and 400 tickets were left, for me it was already selling out the hall.
