Mateusz Gamrot comments on rumors of fight at UFC Tampa

Mateusz Gamrot has dismissed information regarding his appearance at the UFC Tampa gala. According to rumors, the Pole was to face Ludovit Klein.

Mateusz Gamrot fought his last fight in the UFC octagon over the summer at the UFC 305 gala in Perth. The Pole lost then on points to Dan Hooker. It’s been a long time since Mateusz’s performance and the fighter has made the decision to fly to Florida.

Even before leaving Poland, the Red Dragon representative met with journalist Artur Mazur and gave him a long interview. Mateusz Gamrot first talked about the current situation in the lightweight category.

– I’m flying to Florida around 6am. I’m flying for training purposes. I submitted a disposition for December, I was targeting that period, but I got a reply from the UFC that there are no available rivals for me now. Mainly from the ranking, because it’s all about the ranking. If you take a quick look at the list it’s really dense there.

Matthew confirmed that after initial talks with the UFC he has set his sights on a return in 2025. Of course, Gamer would probably like to re-enter the octagon as soon as possible. Gamrot assumes that a departure to American Top Team will start his preparation camp.

– Most fighters want to come back after the new year, and I am also preparing so that, in general, I will probably return after the new year to the cage. Here I’ll disappoint you, I won’t be fighting zanier soon (laughs). I’m flying to train, I’m flying to show up, maybe some interview. Generally I fly to the preparation camp. It is in my nature to train hard every day. I want to be ready, I have made a lot of changes recently. I want to verify them with the best fighters.
