Mateusz Gamrot addressed the planned move of Jakub Wikłacz and Robert Ruchała to the UFC organization, the Polish lightweight said that his clubmates are unquestionably ready.
Mateusz Gamrot was a double champion of the KSW federation. At some point, however, he made the decision that a move overseas and a bigger challenge in the prestigious UFC organization was needed to further his career.
Jakub Wikłacz was the KSW champion in the cockweight category, but decided to vacate the belt and terminate his contract, aiming to sign with the UFC. Robert Ruchała, the KSW interim featherweight champion, is approaching a similar move, and will probably fulfill his contract and then look for a chance to enter the UFC.
Mateusz Gamrot was asked by TVP Sport’ s Patryk Prokulski about whether Robert Ruchala should extend his contract with KSW federation. The Red Dragon and American Top Team fighter, who is currently fighting in the UFC, has a clear opinion on the matter.
– But you know… why? If they’ve already made a one-way move and they’re set, they want at all costs – even at the expense of waiting a while longer – but to actually sign that contract. Why go backwards? I’ve talked to them about this, too. They are both hopeful that it will work out. They are ready, they want to prove themselves. Even more so, they see how it all looks on the ATT mats when they train with UFC fighters. And if you ask if they are ready – they are unquestionably ready.
Mateusz Gamrot believes that both Jakub Wikłacz and Robert Ruchała are ready to make the move to the UFC organization. Gamer noted that his clubmates should make a move in that direction, even if it requires waiting for a chance.
