Mateusz Gamrot has been recognized by the director of the UFC. The Pole’s battle with Dan Hooker was among the top 5 fights of 2024 according to Dana White.
Mateusz Gamrot fought two fights in the UFC octagon last year. First, the Pole defeated Rafael Dos Anjos, and then lost on points to Dan Hooker after a very even fight. Many in the industry suggested that if the Gamrot vs Hooker fight had taken place on a different ground there might have been a different verdict.
Dana White head of the world’s best MMA league has named five fights that he believes were the best fights of 2024. The president of the UFC organization chose five clashes, and among the highlighted juxtapositions was the aforementioned fight between Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker.
The four remaining bouts were also fights that gave MMA fans a lot of excitement. Dana White chose the following matchups: Max Holloway vs Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira vs Khalil Rountree, Esteban Ribovics vs Daniel Zellhuber and Dustin Poirier vs Benoit Saint Denis.
The head of the UFC organization knows MMA like few others, and the mere fact that Mateusz Gamrot was among those honored with a Fight of the Year nomination is a great achievement. We believe 2025 will be an even better year for Gamer’s performance.
