Mateusz Rebecki recalls his last fight with Orolbai [VIDEO]

Mateusz Rêbecki returned to his fight with Myktybek Orolbai, the fighter admitted that the duel was liked by the UFC’s biggest stars.

Mateusz Rêbecki last month defeated Myktybek Orolbai at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi after a judges’ decision. It was a very impressive fight in the UFC octagon, and the fighters claimed the bonus for best fight of the evening.

Mateusz Rêbecki was a guest of Lukasz Jurkowski in the latest edition of the Jurasówka podcast, where he recalled his clash with Kyrgyz. The Berserkers Team representative, who also trains at American Top Team, said he had always dreamed of such a duel.

– Just once, let me start by saying that this is the fight of my life. All my life I have dreamed that this fight would happen, to the point of destruction, with my advantage, where my hand wanders up, bloody. Everyone was stoked, the biggest UFC stars met me. And it put me in the very heart of the UFC very high, maybe not in the mainstream, but in some time probably yes.

Mateusz Rêbecki stressed that as far as tactics are concerned he could have led this clash better. The lightweight fighter acknowledged the mistakes he made in the fight with Myktybek.

– I feel for such a sku**ie now, but going back to the fight itself on average I am satisfied. There are a lot of mistakes there that might not have occurred. I think I could have conducted it better technically because there were a lot of shortcomings. I didn’t lack character and I even think that my conditioning wasn’t lacking. To pull these three rounds at such a pace is not easy, especially when you have a lot of muscle.
