Matthew Gamrot has commented on his situation in the UFC. The fighter realizes that he has one chance left after losing to Dan Hooker.
Mateusz Gamrot was one of the guests in the latest edition of Colosseum magazine, aired by Polsat Sport. The top Polish lightweight fighter talked about his current situation in the UFC rankings.
Matthew Gamrot realizes that he has one more chance to climb to the top. During an interview with the presenters, Gamrot candidly said.
– I have one more rally for sure. I will pull myself together and push hard to reach where I have been twice. Will I succeed? We’ll see. All the time I’m doing my best. I will keep adding more new things.
Matthew Gamrot also presented a new plan. The Red Dragon and American Top Team fighter wants to change his approach to training. Gamer plans to devote more time to recovery and rest.
– I also have some new plan for myself that I want to implement in the future. Train smarter, rest more, recover.
In recent years, Mateusz Gamrot has repeatedly flown to the US to support Dustin Poirier in his fight preparations. The Pole did this even when he was not contracted to fight. Gamrot was also a substitute for a championship bout when he had to fill the weight limit, but ultimately was not given the opportunity to fight for the belt.
Therefore, it seems prudent at this time to focus first and foremost on oneself and do as most top fighters do, who often take an extended vacation after a bout to properly recuperate their bodies and heal injuries.
