Mateusz Gamrot has spoken extensively for the first time about retirement. The excellent UFC fighter for the time being has no plans to end his career.
Mateusz Gamrot will celebrate his 35th birthday this year. The Pole began his professional career in February 2012, so he has been recording professional starts for thirteen years. Gamrot has never lost a fight by knockout, nor is he one of the fighters who take a lot of punches in fights.
Matthew fought his last fight last weekend when at UFC Vegas 107 he confidently outpointed Ludovit Klein, effectively stealing the Slovakian’s chances of entering the top 15 of the UFC rankings. Gamrot has already returned to Poland and has had quite an active day dedicated to meeting with the media.
Matthew Gamrot on retirement
Among other things, Matthew Gamrot was a guest on Radio Zet, where he was asked about retirement. Gamer quickly reassured his fans, for the time being the Red Dragon and American Top Team fighter is not at all thinking about ending his career.
– Yes, yes. Here 34 years old, and in spirit all the time 25. There is this craziness in the head. I think it’s determined by how we feel, how we approach life. Many people in their thirties proverbially ‘end their lives,’ and when children come along, they forget about themselves altogether. Of course, it’s very important to focus on the children, to help them develop and grow up, but we can’t forget about ourselves in the process. We can make friends with the children and live a chummy life too. They will have fun and we will have fun. It’s cool to see that, because I actually feel that way and plan to have fun in this MMA world for a long time to come.
Gamrot’s supporters can therefore look forward to his next starts and set their sights on Matthew providing them with many more exciting fights in the UFC octagon in the coming years.
