Mateusz Gamrot has once again commented on his return to competition. The Pole indicated that he has heard new news regarding the fight, however, one has to wait for official confirmation.

Mateusz Gamrot is still waiting to return to the UFC octagon. The Pole fought his last fight in August 2024 and was scheduled to return in December. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out, days, weeks and months passed, and Mateusz still hasn’t scored another fight. Gamrot is now in Florida, where he is honing his skills on the American Top Team mat.

Mateusz Gamrot gave an interview to Mike Bohn of the MMAJunkie website. During the interview, the Pole reiterated that he is ready to fight at any time. Gamer also once again declared that he can accept a fight with an opponent who is not ranked.

– I’m 34 years old, I’m in my prime, I can fight tomorrow or next week. Give me a fight. I’ve already heard some news, I don’t know if it’s official. We have to wait. On the other hand, I am ready to fight ranked fighters as well as those who are not ranked. My break is already too long, I haven’t fought for 8 months. I want a suitable opponent, I will give a good fight and prove that I deserve a place in the top 10 ranking.

Mateusz Gamrot has been fighting in the UFC since October 2020. The Red Dragon and American Top Team fighter has fought ten fights during this time, seven of which he won. Competing in the lightweight division, the fighter from Kudowa Zdrój is currently ranked seventh.

Unfortunately, once again the situation is uninteresting, as of the higher-ranked fighters only Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira do not have fights set, and these, admittedly, are willing to skirmish, but between themselves. This means that Matthew will probably get a lower ranked opponent, or one who changes weight category.
