Merab Dvalishvili responds to Petr Yan’s challenge

Merab Dvalishvili has responded to Petr Yan’s challenge, the UFC bantamweight champion is eager to give the Russian a rematch.

Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan met on March 11, 2025 at the UFC gala at the Virgin Hotel theater in Las Vegas. Merab was the top then, claiming the win after a unanimous decision by the judges. The Russian claimed after that fight that he didn’t lose it.

Merab Dvalishvili watched the fight between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo with interest. The Georgian, who reached this year for the UFC organization’s belt in the bantamweight category before the fight, said that if Figueiredo wins he would be happy to fight him.

These words of Merab were addressed by Petr Yan, who said after winning the fight at the Macau gala.

– What do you say now Merab, when I beat the fighter you thought was the number 1 contender? I want my rematch, let’s go with it!

Merab Dvalishvili was quick to respond to the Russian’s challenge for a rematch.
