Michael Bisping strongly commented on the outcome of the fight of the evening of the UFC gala in Riyadh, the Englishman does not believe that Israel Adesanya will return to the top yet.

Israel Adesanya lost by knockout in the evening bout of Saturday’s UFC gala in Saudi Arabia. The former middleweight champion fell to the boards after punches from Nassourdine Imavov. The popular Izzy once again had to swallow the bitterness of defeat.

The Nigerian’s current situation was strongly commented on by Michael Bisping. The Englishman, who in the past also reached the championship title of the up to 84 kilograms division, skews Adesanya’s chances of returning to the top. Bisping made the comments about Israel shortly after the event in Riyadh.

– I do not believe that the reign of Israel Adesanya is yet to be repeated. I say this with the utmost respect and I really mean it. He is an original, amazing fighter, a legend of the sport and a future member of the UFC Hall of Fame. However, his time at the top has come to an end.

The 35-year-old Israel Adesanya has three losses in a row, and has recorded a total of four defeats in his last five starts. The Last Stylebender will probably now look for potential superfights, as it’s doubtful that he wants to make gatekeeper of the category in which he has led for years.

Given Adesanya’s height, a move to the welterweight category seems impossible. However, it is possible that in time the representative of City Kickboxing will think about moving to a division higher up or will try to leave the UFC and move to the PFL, ONE or Rizin.
