Michal Figlak has been released from the UFC organization, a rather unexpected announcement that saddened Polish fans in early 2025.
Michal Figlak has fought just two fights in the UFC organization. The Pole lost both bouts after judges’ decisions. However, it is worth mentioning that between these two starts Michal Figlak had a very long break due to injury.
Michal Figlak walked into the UFC organization with the patch of a talented fighter who had won as many as six fights in a row in the Cage Warriors cage. Both fans and Mad Dog himself probably expected more from his UFC adventure, but one must keep in mind that Figlak fought fights against opponents who had far more experience in the octagon.
In his first appearance, Figlak faced Fares Ziam, for whom this was his fifth fight in the best MMA league in the world. The Frenchman had a significant advantage of physical conditions on his side, and he took advantage of this obliquely.
In his second bout in the UFC, Michal Figlak came face to face with The Ultimate Fighter finalist Austin Hubbard, who had already logged seven UFC appearances before participating in the famed program. The Pole lost the clash after a controversial decision.
Defeats by referee decisions do not bring Figlak down, and we hope that he will manage to rebuild in some smaller organization to fight his way back to the UFC in the near future. The Pole’s release was reported by Guilherme Cruz, a journalist for the MMAFighting website.
