

Finally, there is new information about Michal Materla’s future. Wojslaw Rysiewski, KSW’s sporting director, admitted that he is in talks with his manager about a farewell fight.
Michal Materla fought his last fight in March 2024. The former KSW middleweight champion lost then by knockout to Piotr Kuberski. After that bout, the Berserkers Team representative decided to focus on his recovery.
At the end of December, Piotr Baginski, the trainer who has been guiding Michal’s career for many years, commented on Materla. The popular Baginski frankly admitted that he had been telling Michal for a long time that he should end his professional starts.
– I’ve been saying this for the last three fights. Like a trainer and a friend, a guy who has known him since he was a kid, he cares about living in a health sense at the end. He can do that, not necessarily in the cage. I’ve talked about letting him go.
Now new information has emerged about the future of Michal Materla. Wojslaw Rysiewski, KSW federation sporting director was a guest of Artur Mazuron the Klatka po Klatka program revealed that talks are underway.

There is therefore a good chance that Michal Materla will end his 22-year-long professional MMA career in 2025. Even before joining KSW, Materla fought fights with Cyborg and Moise Rimbon – fighters who are now considered legends in their respective countries.
In the KSW round cage, the former champion has faced such heavyweights as Mamed Khalidov, Scott Askham, Roberto Soldić, James Zikić and Kendall Grove.
