More wins for Polish representatives at the MMA World Championships in Uzbekistan. Thanks to the victories, two cadres entered the quarterfinals.
The IMMAF 2024 World Amateur MMA Championship is underway, with two Polish representatives selected for the team by the MMA Poland Association fighting on the second day of the competition.The IMMAF 2024 World Championship began on November 5. The event takes place in Uzbekistan.
On the second day of the championships, Aleksandra Geaidy, competing among the juniors, and Nikodem Miastkowski, who confronted among the seniors, took part in the tournament struggles from the Polish team. The Polish woman crossed gloves with a rival from Kazakhstan and defeated her on points. Miastkowski faced an opponent from Serbia and submitted him in the second round of the duel. With today’s wins, two Polish representatives entered the quarterfinals of their weight categories.
Official results of the second day of competition:
- Flyweight 56.7 kg (125 lb) – Alexandra Geaidy defeated Zhulduza Satybaldina (Kazahstan) by unanimous decision of the judges (3 x 30-27)
- Featherweight 65.8 kg (145 lbs) – Nikodem Miastkowski defeated Uros Peric (Serbia) by submission, 0:42, round 2
On the third day of the tournament Nikodem and Alexandra will fight another duel. Also joining the competition will be: Malgorzata Popovich, Julia Glaz, Lukasz Makowski and Tomasz Manikowski.
