The head of Oktagon MMA has spoken out about KSW. According to Ondrej Novotny, the federation’s owners have been running a project for many years, which is now rapidly falling apart and disintegrating.

Ondrej Novotny is one of the two heads of the Oktagon MMA organization. The situation in the Czech-Slovak federation is very similar to what KSW fans are used to. There are two owners pulling the strings at the same time.

Ondrej Novotny head of Oktagon MMA reacts to the words of Maciej Kawulski, who in an interview on the WK Dzik channel said “in KSW I’m only a ghost anymore.” Novotny gave a comprehensive and specific statement, also drawing attention to ticket sales for KSW events.

The head of the Czech-Slovak organization commented on YESS TV. Ondrej Novotny addressed both Maciej Kawulski’s words and expressed his perspective on the entire KSW organization.

– Most interesting was a recent speech by Maciej Kawulski, one of the owners, who owns 50% of the shares. He said that only those shares are left to him, and he has no presence in the federation. Everyone knows that KSW owners don’t talk to each other. It is apparent that there is not between them what there was in the past. They dragged a long time on a project that is now falling apart relatively quickly.

Ondrej Novotny holds no grudge against KSW’s owners, especially Martin Lewandowski, who has repeatedly stuck pins in his Czech-Slovak rival.

– Even though Martin (the other owner) has been saying stupid things about me and Octagon over the years, it still makes me sad to see it fall apart. What they’ve built, how their organization has grown, the influence and help they’ve given to the entire MMA scene in Europe, that’s what I’ll always cherish them for. Good competition is always a great motivation. On the other hand, I’m not going to fly to their rescue now. They have a gala in Lodz now, they haven’t sold out yet, they have 10% of tickets left to sell, and the ticket prices are really low for a main event this year.

The opinion of one of Oktagon MMA’s owners seems to be clear. Ondrej Novotny claims that KSW is losing its strength, and perhaps that’s why the Czech-Slovak organization has decided to enter the Polish market and organize the Oktagon 86 gala in Szczecin in April 2026.
