Oleksandr Usyk has chosen his next opponent. The Ukrainian conveyed what kind of fight he wants and admitted that he hopes the clash will be organized by Turki Alalshikh.

Oleksandr Usyk announced some time ago that he would like to fight a maximum of two more fights, and then retire to a well-deserved retirement. It looks like the Ukrainian has finally made his choice and named his next opponent.

Oleksandr Usyk wants a rematch with Daniel Dubois. As a reminder, the first clash between the fighters took place in August 2023 at the Wrocław Stadium. The Ukrainian was the winner, who knocked out the Englishman, however, before that there was a big controversy. Dubois hit with a powerful punch, and the judges considered the punch too low and illegal, which allowed Usyk to recover.

Oleksandr Usyk has hinted at a specific name. The Ukrainian expressed readiness to start contract negotiations for a second fight with Daniel Dubois. Usyk wants Turki Alalshikh to be in charge of organizing the event.

– We want a fight with Daniel Dubois. My team is ready to start talks for a rematch with Dubois. The only person who can finalize it is Turki Alalshikh. Now Saudi Arabia has created the best environment and organized the biggest fights, so I treat Riyadh like a second home.

These words of Usyk will probably not please the team of Joseph Parker, who is the interim WBO champion. Recall that recently this federation ordered the Ukrainian to defend his belt precisely in a clash with Parker.

Thus, if Oleksandr necessarily wants to fight Dubois first then the WBO president may strip Usyk of his belt. In that case, interim champion Joseph Parker and one of the other top heavyweights would fight for Usyk’s vacated title.
