Pawel Pawlak will not appear at the KSW 100 gala. The middle category champion confirmed a serious knee injury and revealed the date for a potential return to competition.
Pawel Pawlak defended his championship belt of the up to 84 kilograms category in July. The Octopus representative confidently defeated Damian Janikowski in the evening fight of the KSW 96 gala in Lodz.
The 35-year-old fighter confirmed today the bad news that KSW’s sporting director had earlier reported. Pawel Pawlak has suffered a serious knee injury and unfortunately will not enter the round cage at the KSW 100 gala in Gliwice.
– Hi everyone, I’ve been away for a while. As most of you already know after Wojslaw Rysiewski’s interview, unfortunately I won’t be fighting at KSW 100 due to a serious knee injury I got at my fight with Damian Janikowski. I believe that I will do without surgery and we will see each other in February-March in the KSW cage. I also believe that this fight, which was supposed to take place at KSW 100, this big fight will take place next year maybe under Pride rules?
Pawlak suggested that if surgery can be avoided he should be ready to fight in February or March 2025. Pawlak mentioned PRIDE rules, so it looks like he would like to fight a bout at the KSW EPIC 2 gala.
– I wanted very much to fight it was my little dream, but unfortunately to such a fight I will not go out without a leg I have too much respect for my opponent and for you fans but I know it will be fine, keep your fingers crossed for me for my health and I’m coming back soon. I will never give up!!!
