Pawel Pawlak submitted Laid Zerhouni at KSW 113 and defended his championship belt

Pawel Pawlak submitted Laid Zerhouni in the fifth round of their fight at KSW 113 and thus defended the middleweight division championship belt.

Pawel Pawlak and Laid Zerhouni met in a fight for the KSW middleweight championship belt. The fighters faced each other in the second fight of the evening at KSW 113 gala in Lodz. The duel was contracted for five rounds at a limit of up to 84 kilograms.

On paper, the favorite was Plastinho, who was considered the more versatile of the participants in the clash. However, one also had to take into account the extremely anvil in his hand, with which the Algerian-born French representative is endowed.

Laid Zerhouni from the beginning like a stalker moved on Pawlak and attacked with powerful blows. The champion in retreat escaped under the net. Pawlak hit with an elbow and wanted to move the fight to the mat, but the challenger defended himself beautifully. A very good start for Bulldozer. Clinch under the net initiated by the champion. At the beginning of the second round, Pawlak hit Zerhouni’s crotch with a kick. We got a break. After resuming, the champion again attacked with kicks to the torso. Zerhouni buckled down with a hard punch which Pawlak immediately used to get into the clinch and torment his rival. Pawlak kicks a lot while the challenger tries to bring out only punches with his fists, this makes it easy for the champion to knock his opponent away and score. Small cauldrons in close quarters and after Pawlak’s mistake it seemed that he would have to defend from his back, however, the champion took advantage of the experience and he was the one on top. A solid series of elbows from the top by Pawlak. Zerhouni tries to persevere to the end of the round and work out the champion’s inactivity. Strong punches at the end of the round performed by the Pole.

Laid Zerhouni was hunting to bring out a strong punch, however it was Pawel Pawlak who entered perfectly in the pace and instead of stand-up we have a ground fight. Good work from the top by the champion, who controls the course of the clash. Pawlak delivers more punches from the top, while Laid doesn’t have much to defend himself, although he doesn’t let go and tries to survive. Zerhouni persevered until the gong ending the third round.

Laid perfectly defended the attempted overthrow and hit with two very powerful punches. Zerhouni hits again which leads to a clinch by the champion. Pawel Pawlak hits his rival’s head with his shoulder. The referee breaks the clinch and orders the fight to resume in the middle of the octagon. Pawlak continues to reject the challenger with long kicks. An interesting spinning attack by the champion. Towards the end of the round Zerhouni delivered two strong punches, but overall it was the least interesting installment.

Laid Zerhouni hit Pawlak and calmly worked methodically. The fighter from France unexpectedly surprised the champion with a successful overthrow. Zerhouni works from the top. Pawel Pawlak went for the challenger’s leg, intercepted it and, seeing that the twist would not go in, moved to a balacha on the knee submitting the challenger. Pawlak submitted Laid Zerhouni in the fifth round.
