The PFL has announced the names of the eight participants in the featherweight division tournament, the excellent fighters will begin competition on April 3 in Orlando, Florida.
The PFL organization continues to announce the names of fighters who will compete in 2025 tournaments. After yesterday’s announcement of the participants of the struggle in the welterweight category, today it is time to present the heroes of the tournament in the featherweight division.
The biggest star is undoubtedly Movlid Khaybulaev the undefeated champion, who returns to competition after a nearly two-year hiatus. The 34-year-old Dagestan represents Team Khabib Nurmagomedov, which is responsible for Khaybulaev’s preparations for the tournament. It is worth mentioning that in the years when Khaybulaev won the PFL season the champions had not yet defended their titles.
The Dagestanian is not the only former PFL champion who will take part in the tournament. The other is Jesus Pinedo, who won the play-offs in 2023. Speaking of the Peruvian, it’s impossible not to mention Gabriel Braga, whom he fought twice. The Brazilian is also among the participants of the tournament, so if they both win then there will be a chance for a trilogy.
The next contestants are two former contenders for the Bellator organization’s belt, namely Jeremy Kennedy and Adam Borics. Rounding out the pack of participants in the PFL tournament in the featherweight division are the experienced Yves Landu, who has a series of five straight wins, as well as Kim Taekyun a former contender for the Brave belt, and Irishman Nathan Kelly.
The fighters in the featherweight division will begin competing in the tournament on April 3 at a gala in Orlando, Florida. At the moment, the exact tournament ladder and specific lineups are not yet known.
