Phil De Fries addressed his fans with the question of who should be his next opponent in the KSW cage. The heavyweight champion suggested several options.

Phil De Fries has been KSW‘s heavyweight champion for many years. It seems that at this point even the staunchest opponents of clinching and wrestling have begun to appreciate that the Englishman surpasses the other KSW fighters by a head in this regard, and we don’t mean height at all.

Time and again Phil De Fries has been seeing off successive contenders for the royal division title. The Englishman is comfortably seated on the throne and successfully repels the attacks of more and more rivals. In his last appearance at KSW 100, De Fries defeated Darko Stosic in the first round.

As the months and years go by, the group of contenders continues to narrow. Of course, new fighters are coming to the federation, but so far none has been able to rise to the challenge and defeat the champion from Sunderland.

Now Phil De Fries has asked fans who should be his next opponent. The Englishman posted three pictures, pointing to three possible options: Arkadiusz Wrzosek, Stefan Vojcak and an unknown fighter, where in this case it would probably be the federation’s new acquisition.

It will probably be a few weeks or even a few months before we know the name of Phil De Fries’ next opponent. We know that Arek Wrzosek will appear at KSW 102 in Radom, and Stefan Vojcak will probably return to the cage at KSW 103 in Liberec, unless KSW decides otherwise and matches Wrzosek against Vojcak at KSW 102.

It would therefore seem most sensible to add one or two new foreign names to the “mix” so as to produce a worthy contender. It would be worthwhile to recruit fighters such as Alexandr Romanov, Shamil Gaziev or Marcus Buchecha to raise the level of competition in the heavyweight category.
