Heavyweight champion Phil De Fries has extended his contract with KSW and revealed the number of fights his new deal with the Polish organization covers.

Phil De Fries the longest reigning KSW federation champion has decided to continue his career in Europe’s top MMA organization. The Englishman has extended his contract for three fights. This means that he will probably stay in KSW until the end of 2026, and perhaps even until the end of his career.

Phil De Fries will celebrate his 39th birthday in April. The fighter from Sunderland signed with KSW in 2018 and reached for the vacant heavyweight division belt in his very first fight. De Fries since then, has defended his title eleven times each time seeing off successive contenders with a flourish.

Although many fans accuse De Fries of having a boring fighting style, the truth is that the powerful Englishman has won nine of his twelve KSW round cage fights before time. Phil is undefeated in KSW even taking into account a grappling bout with Josh Barnett, in which De Fries prevailed however it ultimately ended in a draw.

Phil De Fries fought for organizations such as the UFC and Bellator before joining KSW. The Englishman also scored starts in the Russian organizations M-1 and RCC. It seems that the veteran of the English MMA scene will fulfill his contract with KSW and then end his adventure in professional sports.

De Fries made a post on his profiles in which he wrote that his dream is to win his last championship fight and then leave the belt and gloves in the cage. The Englishman would later like to return as a spectator and put the belt on the hips of the new champion.
