Phil De Fries and Arkadiusz Wrzosek will meet in a fight for the heavyweight category belt at the KSW 107 gala in the Tri-City.

The highly anticipated clash at the top of the KSW heavyweight division is fast approaching. At the XTB KSW 107 gala, Phil De Fries (26-6, 1NC), the long-time dominator of the royal weight class, will face undefeated professional MMA title challenger Arkadiusz Wrzosek (6-0). The duel for the belt will take place on June 14 in the Gdansk-Sopot ERGO ARENA.

Phil De Fries will stand for the thirteenth time to defend the belt of the royal weight category. The Englishman is the longest reigning champion in the history of the KSW organization. He has been on the heavyweight throne since 2018 and is on an incredible streak of fourteen straight wins. The champion last fought at the XTB KSW 100 gala, where he clashed with Darko Stošić and smashed him with punches already in the first round of the bout.

The Englishman has fought 33 fights throughout his career, 26 of which he won. De Fries is known for his wrestling skills. As many as fifteen times he submitted his rivals, in seven fights he triumphed by knockout, and fourteen times he won already in the first round.

Arkadiusz Wrzosek is going like a storm through the world of MMA, which he entered in 2022. The kickboxing-influenced fighter has fought and won six fights in the cage. Only one of his bouts made it to a referee’s decision, and four ended in triumphs already in the first round.

Prior to his MMA debut, the Varsovian won the title of amateur world champion in K1, European champion in muay thai, and many Polish championship medals in these sports. He is a former champion of the FEN organization and a former fighter for the prestigious Glory brand. He successfully uses his incredible stand-up fighting skills in the cage, where he has sent his rivals to the boards four times. He is currently ranked third in the KSW heavyweight rankings, and last competed last November, when he blissfully took down the experienced Matheus Scheffel.
