Piotr Kuberski like Tom Aspinall? Interim champion comments
Piotr Kuberski gave an interview to Jarek Swiatek. During the online conversation, the ANKOS MMA fighter addressed the situation in KSW’s middleweight division. The interim champion talked about his approach to Pawel Pawlak‘s long hiatus.
– As far as I know we are fighting for this interim, I am defending this interim belt. You know all the time we don’t know what’s going on in the camp in Octopus. Like we’re waiting all the time to decide what’s going to happen there. I mean we’re waiting, I’m waiting.
Piotr Kuberski admitted that he feels like a full-fledged champion and compared his situation to what recently happened to Tom Aspinall, who was interim champion and was promoted to full champion.
– Well, and in fact, just like to you, nothing has reached me. Well my focus is on the here and now, on defending this interim belt. All in all, you know I consider myself a full-fledged champion. Well, because at least the situation that happened recently in the UFC, where Jon Jones resigned and Tom Aspinall is that legitimate champion. For such a long pause of Pawel Pawlak, I can also call myself a champion and we defend this championship belt, but media-wise it is dressed up in words as interim.
