Mamed Ch., one of the most recognizable figures in the history of Polish MMA, received a non-final verdict in a high-profile criminal case. The District Court in Tarnowskie Góry found the fighter guilty of some of the charges against him and sentenced him to 1.5 years in prison and a hefty fine.

According to the RMF FM website, the District Court in Tarnowskie Góry sentenced Mamed Ch. to 1.5 years in prison and a fine of 280,000 zł. The verdict is not yet final.
The most serious charges involved the purchase and attempted purchase of luxury cars obtained through criminal activity in 2016–2017. The court also found that the athlete had orchestrated efforts to set two cars on fire in Rybnik. In addition, he was found guilty of violating the personal integrity of a police officer and insulting police officers during an incident that took place in 2018 in Olsztyn.
In addition to a prison sentence and a fine, the court ordered Mamed Ch. to compensate the owners of the burned vehicles for the damage caused. According to the ruling, he is to pay 30,000 PLN to Krzysztof B. and 25,000 PLN to Andrzej P. Additionally, 2,000 PLN in compensation was awarded to the police officer whose personal safety was violated.
At the same time, the court acquitted Mamed Ch. of the charge of illegal possession of a firearm. However, the case has not been definitively closed, as the ruling of the District Court in Tarnowskie Góry is not final and may be appealed.
