Proper Twelve has decided to disassociate itself from Conor McGregor following the conviction. The Irishman’s image will also disappear from the popular Hitman game.
When a court found Conor McGregor guilty of sexual harassment it was clear that this would set off a domino of consequences for the former double UFC champion. IO Interactive, the publisher of the Hitman game, was the first to react.
Conor McGregor appeared in the game as one of the characters, but his image has already been removed from the game. A brief statement was issued in which the company disassociated itself from the Irishman and announced the complete removal of any association with McGregor.
Proximo Spirits, the company that has owned Proper Twelve since 2021, has announced a similar move. From now on, the well-known alcohol brand will not use Conor McGregor’s services for marketing purposes, nor does it intend to sponsor the fighter. Such a decision by Proximo Spirits comes as no surprise, as many major retail chains have already announced the removal of McGregor-linked spirits from their stores.
Conor’s real problem may be the disappearance of Forged Irish Stout from store shelves. McGregor still owns the beer brand, and withdrawing it from sale will have a direct impact on the Irishman’s finances.
