Rafal Haratyk and Phil De Fries will appear in the two fights of the evening of KSW 111 in Třinec, the next gala in the Czech Republic will take place on October 18.
KSW Federation is preparing a strong roster for its return across the southern border. It has been decided that the fight card of the KSW 111 gala will be highlighted, as many as two championship fights. Today the names of the first participants in the event, which will take place on October 18 in the Werk Arena, were announced.
Rafal Haratyk and Phil De Fries will defend their championship belts. Rafal Haratyk is the champion of the light heavyweight division, while the Englishman is KSW’s longest reigning champion and has already made twelve successful title defenses. The 39-year-old Phil De Fries has found himself perfectly at home in the Polish organization and has repeatedly announced that he will most likely move to Poland after his career ends.
Rafal Haratyk won the tournament of the light-heavyweight division thanks to which he reached for the vacant heavyweight championship belt. The fighter from Podbeskidzie region recently paused after suffering an orbital injury. The presence of Polish Tank on the KSW 111 schedule may not come as a surprise, as it is about 50 km from Bielsko-Biala to Třinec. It is therefore to be expected that Haratik’s fans will flock to the gala in the Czech Republic in large numbers.
At this moment the names of rivals of Harikat and De Fries have not been announced, it is possible that a fighter from the Czech Republic or Slovakia will appear in one of the fights. Martin Buday, who recently parted ways with the UFC, is available on the market. This fighter is an interesting option for De Fries’ opponent.
