Rafal Haratyk defeated Bartosz Lesko after an even fight at KSW 111 and defended his championship belt of the light heavyweight division.

Rafał Haratyk and Bartosz Leśko faced each other in the second fight of the evening at KSW 111 gala in the Czech Republic. The two Polish representatives met on Czech soil in a bout for the KSW belt in the light heavyweight division. Haratyk stood to defend his title after a break due to injury.

Experience undoubtedly stood on Rafal Haratyka’s side in this fight. The representative of Berserkers Team Bielsko-Biala has been a recognized brand on the Polish MMA scene for many years. Bartosz Leśko fought fewer professional fights however, he had gabarites on his side.

Bartosz Lesko started with a kick to the torso. The challenger continues his attacks with his legs, after a nice spin. Rafal Haratyk tries to respond with a series of punches, but Lesko gets off the punch line well and escapes to the side. Lesko once again attempted to release the spinner, but Haratyk cleverly used this moment to enter the clinch. Good kickboxing action by the champion, who hit with both a fist punch and a high kick. Bartosz focuses on strong kicks while Haratyk hunts for single powerful punches with his fists. Another spinning backfist by Lesko, but this time off target.

Good left hook of the champion. Lesko moves a lot on the feet and looks for opportunities to attack with kicks. Meanwhile, it’s Haratyk who brings out a good kick to the contender’s torso. A very strong exchange of punches at short range and Lesko enters the clinch pressing Haratyk to the net. Bartek attacks with knees. A very exhausting round for both fighters.

After a brief exchange in the fourth round, the fighters again got into a short-circuit where there were single punches and the use of dirty boxing. After the split, Haratyk and Lesko focused on kicks and looking for opportunities in the standup. A good exchange of punches. Rafal Haratyk hit with a very strong right. Unfortunately, after a while the fighters got into a clinch and the pace of the fight slowed down. The end of the round we will have the last, fifth round.

A solid exchange, and both fighters use a lot of strength not only putting it into striking, but also continuing to attack and build an advantage in the clinch. Lesko tried to drag Haratyk to the ground, but it was the champion who moved the fight to the mat in great style. Haratyk tried twice for the choke but failed, and Lesko managed to get back to the standup in the last 20 seconds. Rafal Haratyk defeated Bartosz Lesko by unanimous decision of the judges.
